In Lampedusa, another 55 migrants disembarked despite the stormy sea

On the island of Lampedusa, migrant landings continue: despite the stormy sea (which is why the ferry from Porto Empedocle did not depart on Thursday evening and a replacement ship could not be activated yesterday evening), 55 people disembarked from boats coming from Libya.

The CP327 patrol boat of the Coast Guard rescued, just before 8:30 am, a 7-meter boat carrying people of various nationalities: Eritreans, Egyptians, Ethiopians, Moroccans, and Sudanese who reported having set sail from Zuwara, paying $4,000 each, at 11:00 pm on Wednesday.

Like previous groups, this one was also taken to the hotspot in Contrada Imbriacola, where there are currently 428 guests.
