In Bagheria (in the Metropolitan City of Palermo), the appointment with the fashion event ‘Baaria Fashion Day’ is renewed, which will take place on the evening of April 21 starting at 6:00 PM at Villa Palagonia.
The eighteenth-century villa, most famous in Bagheria, renowned for the grotesque sculptures housed within (reason for which Villa Palagonia is known as the ‘Villa of the Monsters’), is preparing to host what has been a fixed appointment with fashion, art, and social inclusion since April 24, 2022 (the day of the first edition of Baaria Fashion Day).
This last blend made possible by the great professionalism and sensitivity of Rosanna Fiorentino, event manager and fashion consultant who is organizing this year’s ‘Baaria Fashion Day’ event, now in its 5th edition.
Presenting the fashion evening will be Stefania Riccobono, host of the Web TV Life 24 Magazine, thus reaffirming a role played since the first edition.
The brands, the artists, and the backstage of Baaria Fashion Day: the meeting point between fashion, art, and social inclusion
For an event focused on the union between fashion, art, and social inclusion, ‘Baaria Fashion Day’ this year, too, will not fail to meet the highest expectations for a successful evening dedicated to the outer and inner beauty of women.
First of all, the list of participating brands is very rich, which will be worn by models in the catwalk shows, representing prominent entrepreneurial realities in Sicily, including: ‘L’Atelier Patrizia,’ ‘Les Golies Apparel and Lingerie,’ ‘Dudù and Mon Bijoux,’ and ‘Optical store Gagliano,’ by the Gagliano brothers, all companies based in Bagheria.
Other brands are represented by companies from Palermo: ‘Laboratori Siciliani,’ ‘Ivò Boutique’ (also present in Villabate), and ‘I doni di Venere’ by Magda Loriano; finally, there will be a company from Casteldaccia, ‘L’arte del gioiello’ by Salvatore Sclafani.
But as already clarified, ‘Baaria Fashion Day’ will not be limited to a fashion evening; there will also be space for art with the exhibition of paintings by the artist Earsy Adele (pseudonym of Concetta Antonia Pagano).
In the space dedicated to art, the audience will also be delighted by the musical performances of the duo Alexaund, who will perform with violin and keyboard, by the dances of the ‘Flamenco Libero’ dance school of Palermo, and by the voice of the singer-songwriter Lorenzo Cusimano.
A noteworthy mention certainly goes to the local artisans who work behind the scenes to ensure the success of the ‘Baaria Fashion Day’ event: from the table setting by wedding planner Antonella Lo Buglio to the Makeup by Antonia Grasso, as well as the Hair Styling by Angelo La Barbera.
Working on the purely technical part of the event are: Salvatore Stancampiano for photography, Davide Bandolo for video editing, and Gaetano La Licata for the Audio/Lighting service.
At the event, there will be a representation from the General States of Women
As previously mentioned, this year’s edition of ‘Baaria Fashion Day’ shines the spotlight not only to highlight an admired beauty that presents itself with grace, demeanor, and harmony of colors but also to explore a hidden inner beauty, whose ‘voice’, or rather its cry of pain caused by abuses and threats, unfortunately remains unheard in indifference, only to resonate with a media echo speaking of denied rights, of violence inside and outside the domestic walls, and of discouraging statistics on the protection of women, considering that in Italy in 2023 a femicide occurred every 3 days.
In this context, the presence of representatives from the General States of Women at the ‘Baaria Fashion Day’ event finds the right placement: a permanent coordination, which has become an authoritative interlocutor for the institutions operating in the fields of labor policies, economy, finance, women’s world, rights, culture, education, training, peace and dialogue, well-being, and development.
The General States of Women represent a slow and silent journey, born from an initiative that has been ongoing since December 5, 2014, in various Italian territories to defend women’s rights.
‘Baaria Fashion Day’ will therefore reserve a place of honor on stage to host moments of reflection where, through the interventions of the representatives of the General States of Women, efforts will be made to sensitize public opinion on very current issues concerning women’s rights with a view to greater awareness and sharing.
Representatives from the General States of Women will include: Marika Cefalù, Regional Manager for Sicily.
There is also expected to be a speech by Dr. Antonina Greco, specialized in non-invasive aesthetic medicine.
